"About the Preserve
The Equinox Preserve covers 914 acres of forest lands on the eastern slopes of Mount Equinox in Manchester, Vermont. It is open to the public for year-round, non-motorized recreation. Over 11 miles of marked and maintained trails provide access to these unique mountainous woodlands.
The land's owner, the Equinox Resort and Spa, first donated conservation easements on 850 acres to the Vermont Land Trust & The Nature Conservancy of Vermont in 1993. As additional 64 acres of conserved lands were placed under the protection of the Vermont Land Trust in 2006. The Equinox Preservation Trust was formed in 1996 to oversee the management of these protected lands.
Private land surrounds the Preserve and several trails cross through privately owned acres. Only through individual landowners generosity are the EPT trails allowed to cross their lands. Please respect the rights of these landowners, do not litter, and stay on the marked trails.

Hildene The Lincoln Family Home
"His father was born in a log cabin and called from the humblest rank in life to preside over our nation during the most momentous period of its history. One generation later, Robert Todd Lincoln, the only child of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to survive to adulthood, became Chairman of the Pullman Company, the largest manufacturing corporation at the turn of the 20th century. He built his Georgian Revival mansion in 1905 in the scenic village of Manchester. It became home to only Lincoln descendants until 1975, longer than any other Lincoln residence. It is the Great American Story."
On a budget - stay with us and we offer discounted Hildene tickets. Your cost $16 per ticket vs. $23 at Hildene. Wow!!! What a savings we pass on to you :) Another great reason to love us.
